Personal Training

At Cork Strength & Performance Centre we offer a range of Personal Training Packages to suit all needs and goals. There is no better way to really take your training to the very next level! All packages also include regular nutritional consultations to make sure that both your training and your nutrition will be on point. Sessions will have no set length and will depend completely on your training and goals and how they are to be best achieved.

Our coaches will work with you right through from goal setting at the outset right through until you have achieved your goals. When a client comes to us for personal training the following 4 steps are usual taken:

 

Step 1

Contact Trevor to arrange a FREE in depth consultation regarding your fitness aims and goals. You can arrange a meeting through the contact form on this site, private message on facebook or call 087 622 7702. A meeting can be organised at your convenience to go through what you’d like to achieve and if any special requirements need to be discussed.

Step 2

During the consultation Trevor will go through your needs and fitness goals as well as a health questionnaire which will include previous/current injuries. You can ask as many questions as you like in order to find out if Cork Strength & Performance Centre is the right place for you to achieve your goals.

If you wish to take personal training here, Trevor will then give you a breakdown on how he will approach your training and the support you will be given. These recommendations will be used to start you on the path to achieve your physiological demands of your fitness goals and the body you need/want.

Step 3

Book for your first personal training session and Trevor will compose a tailored training programme based on the most proven sport science training concepts to meet the goals you have in mind. This will be your programme which will typically last between 8 to 12 weeks. It will be specifically designed and will cover workout recommendations, nutritional advice, a flexibility guide and lifestyle changes which are extremely crucial. You will be given the programme on the day your first personal training session commences and a log book in which you can enter progress from each session.

Step 4

Full control and personal attention will be provided in all the personal training sessions whereby all will start on a warm up and finish with a cool down. Mobility is at the heart of personal training, as without this vital step you greatly increase the likelihood of getting injured. During your first personal training session various measurements will be taken in order for Trevor to see what strengths and weaknesses you have as well as comparing values to future values for signs of improvement. You will be encouraged to execute the correct technique when learning a new movement. We have to achieve the best results effectively as we can in the safest way possible.
